Popped in here during our Ed Sheeran Portman road trip, the fish and chips were very nice, but do note it is very large. No problem for me, however I did notice a common theme of people leaving food, which implies maybe the portions are too big. Despite this, a very tasty, well decorated local pub. Would

Super little boutique style hotel slap in the middle of Framingham. Great social bar, nice restaurant & good rooms particularly if you can splash out & treat yourself to a premium room. Issi, the front of house manager was extremely helpful & a credit to the hotel, having quality staff like her makes all the difference to being away from home. Very well located for all Framingham has to offer. Highly recommend.

Perfect local pub with friendly staff and a warm charming atmosphere. A huge addition to the local town and the best pub in the village!

We really liked our one night stay here. It's a really nice traditional old pub with lots of wonky beams and creaky floors. (I spotted a 2-amp 3-pin socket. Who remembers those?!) Our room (No. 4) was spacious, nicely decorated and warm (double-glazed & efficient radiators). It lacked sockets by the bed, so no phone charging on the bedside table (probably a good thing!) but it made up for it in lots of small ways: an excellent range of coffee & teas for the Nespresso-style coffee-maker & kettle; plenty of shelf space in the bathroom; one of those plastic sucker mats for the bath so you don't slip in the shower (old-fashioned but very practical); loads of mirrors (the room must have been designed by a woman, said my partner); a colossal 3ft-diameter floor-standing fan in the cupboard for summer heatwaves; and, best of all, the most enormous fluffy white towels I've encountered for a long time! Food & drink: It's worth booking for supper. We hadn't and were lucky to get a table. It was fully booked that night. We both had the Chicken Schnitzel. It was excellent, as were the staff, who couldn't be more helpful & friendly. Breakfast comes with the room. It's not an 'extra'. The 'Full English' is huge. Parking: The car park was full when we got there at 1800, but there's a street with unrestricted parking 200m away.

The Crown is one of our locals. Excellent atmosphere. Food is good. Right in the town by local shops. Castle is a 5 minute walk. Recommend for food and drinks. Closes quite early though. Around 9pm..

Beautiful hotel, clean and spacious. Restaurant had really delicious food, great value for money and the staff are kind, courteous and helpful. A few more vegan options would be great but the chef and staff did everything they could do accommodate those needs during our stay. Really friendly hardworking housekeeping staff to. We can't wait to go back. Thanks to all for making it extra special for our mums 70th birthday, it's the little touches that are the most appreciated.

The rooms are exactly what you expect from a three start hotel. Good, not perfect (but that is also what you have chosen for). The bed was in my opinion a bit too soft, but I did had a proper sleep. The shower, a-ma-zing (coming from Amsterdam this water pressure was the best I had in years). My room had carpet, wouldn’t be my first choice, but it did matched that cosy English country side vibe. Biscuit the hotel dog stole my heart. The reception team is very sweet. I was there on Valentines weekend on my own and couldn’t get a table (or corner) in the restaurant what was really shitty in a small village like this, but again, I’m from Amsterdam, so spoiled when it comes to horeca. But my advise to the hotel to work on: always make sure your hotel guests go asleep with a full tummy if asked for. Just some advise with love to become an even better hotel. The vibe of the hotel and the location couldn’t be better. As a woman travelling solo, I haven’t felt unsafe at all. I will come back to this hotel, even as a spoiled Amsterdam lady, but definitely not round a holiday or something like that as the service in the restaurant (and of all the bars en restaurants in Framlingham in general, I tried.. went asleep with an empty belly) can’t handle ‘busy days’ like bigger cities do. Summary: On non-holidays; amazing!! + DOG FRIENDLY!! You can’t hate on that unless you’re heartless.

We stopped here for some lunch, there was quite a wait from ordering to service, considering it wasn't that busy when we visited. But the food was worth the wait in pleasant surroundings.

Second time visiting in 2 years and didn't disappoint either time. The members of staff we had serving us was fantastic! The lamb rump tasted sensational with the swede and carrot mash! Would recommend that They also served a fairly large group of 15 of us in pretty decent time (we had pre-ordered our food). Will happily go back again next time I am in the area!
